About Carla

Each year we host the One in a Million Charity Ball in memory of beautiful Carla Rankin who died in August 2014 whilst having a seizure. She was 27 years old and even though we would have done anything to take her condition away from her, she never let it spoil her life or prevent her from doing what she wanted to do.

Carla was an active member of Epilepsy Action and she would like the fact that her death might raise money for a charity for which she had a lot of time. We have been overwhelmed by all the activities which her friends and family have organised in her name in order to raise awareness and money for this excellent charity.

The One in a Million Charity Ball is an opportunity to celebrate Carla’s memory in a fun and memorable way whilst raising well needed funds for Epilepsy Action. Carla was indeed One in a Million and she would absolutely love that everyone was attending a Charity Ball in her memory.
